A fine, well-balanced red, blending freshness, bright fruit and beautiful delicacy.
Auxey-Duresses Rouge Les Hoz 2024 Domaine Agnès Paquet

At the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Agnès Paquet crafts wines of great precision, combining Burgundian finesse with the sincerity of terroir. Based in Meloisey, she tends her vines with rigour, in respect of natural balance, to preserve the identity of each climat. Vinifications, minimally interventionist, aim to express fruit and texture without masking the origin.

The cuvée Les Hoz 2024 comes from a climat in the heights of Auxey-Duresses, benefiting from clay-limestone soils that bring tension and structure to the Pinot Noir. The 2024 vintage, marked by fine freshness and progressive ripeness, yields elegant, precise wines with particularly aromatic character.

Vinification favours gentle extraction to preserve the finesse of the variety. Ageing in cask, controlled and subtle, accompanies the wine without dominating the fruit, bringing depth and harmony.

On tasting, the nose opens on aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, lifted by floral notes and a subtle spice. The palate is elegant, structured by fine, silky tannins. The whole offers beautiful energy, supported by a mineral framework that extends the finish with freshness and distinction.

A refined and approachable Auxey-Duresses, ideal with roast poultry, fillet of beef, or soft cheeses. It can be enjoyed from its youth for its bright fruit, and will gain complexity after 5 to 8 years of cellaring.
