A delightful Alpine expression from Adrien Berlioz.
Jacquère La Pépie 2023, Adrien Berlioz

Based in Chignin, at the heart of the Savoyard slopes, Adrien Berlioz has established himself as one of the region's most talented vignerons. Farmed organically and biodynamically, his domaine brings out the Alpine grape varieties through precise, minimalist winemaking that seeks to express fruit purity and the vibration of calcareous and clay-limestone soils.

La Pépie 2023 is a cuvée made from Jacquère, Savoie's emblematic variety. Planted on calcareous scree, the vines produce a wine of striking freshness, a true reflection of high-altitude terroirs. The 2023 vintage, balanced and luminous, brings just the right ripeness while holding a marked natural tension.

Winemaking privileges delicacy to preserve the varietal's aromatic brilliance. Ageing is sober and precise, supporting the wine without diminishing its vitality.

On the nose, aromas of fresh lemon, green apple and white flowers emerge, accompanied by a subtle stony touch. The palate is straight, lively and crystalline, driven by finely cut acidity and lovely salinity. The finish is clean and refreshing, underlining the wine's Alpine character.

Pure and energetic Jacquère, ideal as an aperitif, with oysters, lake fish or Savoyard fondue. Drink in its youth to fully enjoy its freshness and brightness.
