A parcel selection of the highest calibre from Maison Le Nid, almost Burgundian in its ambition.
The Moulin-à-Vent Rochegrès 2022 from Maison Le Nid comes from one of the most renowned climates of the appellation, situated on granitic soils rich in manganese that give rise to deep and structured Gamays. Founded by winemaker and sommelier Jean-Philippe Pelletier, Maison Le Nid is devoted to selecting and vinifying parcels of character in order to reveal the full nobility of Beaujolais's greatest terroirs.
On this sunny and well-balanced 2022 vintage, the wine unveils an intense nose of dark cherry, blackberry and violet, lifted by spicy and lightly mineral notes. The palate is ample and fleshy, supported by fine yet present tannins that structure the whole with elegance. The ageing emphasizes the depth of the cru while preserving the brilliance of the fruit.
A noble and moreish Moulin-à-Vent, at once powerful and refined, which will accompany roasted meats, beef fillet or characterful poultry perfectly, and which can evolve favourably in the cellar for several years.
