Whisky Mars Asagi Madara
Produced by the Shinshu distillery, perched at nearly 800 metres altitude in the Japanese Alps, Mars Whisky benefits from a unique environment shaped by cool climate and exceptionally pure mountain water. The house, founded by the Hombo family, marries Scottish tradition with Japanese precision to craft elegant, impeccably well-balanced whiskies.
Asagi Madara embodies this pursuit of harmony. Its name evokes delicate, shifting nuances and reflects a subtle blend of carefully selected malts and grain whiskies, aged in oak casks that have sometimes held bourbon or wine, bringing complexity and depth.
On the nose, refined aromas of pear, ripe apple and white flowers emerge, accompanied by notes of vanilla, honey and a light woody touch. The palate is supple and elegant, marked by flavours of yellow fruits, light caramel and gentle spices, supported by harmonious texture. The finish is delicate and persistent, leaving a subtly toasted and lightly spiced impression.
An accessible and precise Japanese whisky, ideal for discovering the Mars house style, to be savoured neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its full aromatic finesse.
