Corton Clos Rognet 2023 Domaine Méo-Camuzet. Pure Pinot Noir, controlled power, structural elegance. Ageing potential 15 to 25 years.
Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru 2023 Domaine Méo-Camuzet
The Corton Clos Rognet 2023 embodies the true nobility of the northern slope of the hill, where Pinot Noir gains verticality, intensity and textural depth. Under the refined signature of Méo-Camuzet, this Grand Cru offers a particularly pure and linear interpretation of Corton, marrying controlled power with structural elegance.
The nose opens onto aromas of intense dark fruits, deep cherry and plum, with notes of violet, dark spice and a light earthiness evoking the iron-rich soil of the climat. On the palate, the material is broad and solid, yet beautifully stretched: firm, noble tannins, marked mineral energy, and a long, ascending finish typical of great Corton.
The 2023 vintage brings fine freshness that energises the whole, offering a wine already expressive yet still holding much in reserve. A Grand Cru of high stature, built for ageing, 15 to 25 years, and one of the deepest expressions of the Méo-Camuzet style on the Corton hill.
