A fine 100% Syrah cuvée of real depth.
Gigondas Les Roches 2023 Domaine des Bosquets
From one of the appellation's most emblematic domaines, Domaine des Bosquets stands as an essential reference in Gigondas, under the direction of Julien Bréchet, a demanding and precise vigneron. This Les Roches 2023 cuvée brings to light a unique high-altitude terroir, marked by limestone and stony soils that bring tension, freshness and depth to the wine.
Made solely from Syrah, this cuvée is vinified with great precision, prioritising pure expression of fruit and terroir. The ageing is controlled, aiming to preserve balance and finesse rather than mark the wine.
The nose opens onto an intense bouquet of ripe dark fruits, garrigue, gentle spices and subtle mineral notes. On the palate, the wine seduces through its ample and elegant structure, its silky tannins and fine freshness, the signature of Gigondas's high-altitude terroirs. The finish is long and salivating, with persistence over spice and dark fruits.
A Gigondas of character, at once powerful and refined, which can be enjoyed today after aeration or evolve favourably in the cellar for 8 to 12 years.
Food pairings: game, Provençal daube, roast lamb, sauced dishes.
