Apricot Liqueur of Burgundy — Gilles Joannet
Made by the Gilles Joannet house, this liqueur honours apricots selected for their ripeness and aromatic richness. The fruit is slowly macerated to extract all its generosity while preserving the natural freshness of the apricot, in the tradition of Burgundian craft-making.
The nose opens on generous aromas of ripe apricot, stewed yellow fruits and a light almond note. The palate is round and velvety on attack, dominated by a vibrant and juicy fruit, supported by fine acidity that balances the sweetness. The finish is harmonious, persistent, with a subtly stony touch.
Best served chilled as a digestif, in a kir with a dry white wine or crémant, or to accompany an apricot tart, panna cotta or almond-based dessert.
