A refined Blanc de Blancs of striking finesse and elegance, from five carefully chosen Chardonnay parcels.
Champagne Quintette Blanc de Blancs JM Sélèque is a emblematic cuvée from this family domaine nestled in Pierry, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. Jean-Marc Sélèque and his son Jean-Baptiste have progressively established the house as one of Champagne's most compelling signatures, through meticulous vineyard work and a highly precise parcellaire approach. The vineyard is cultivated with profound respect for living systems, fostering biodiversity and measured interventions to reveal the pure expression of terroir.
Quintette comes from five Chardonnay parcels situated mainly on the slopes of Épernay and surrounding hills, on soils blending chalk, clay and silt. This mosaic of terroirs brings remarkable complexity to the wine. Vinification is partly in barrel, with natural fermentations and ageing on lees, bringing texture and depth while preserving the mineral tension characteristic of great Champagne Blanc de Blancs.
The wine distinguishes itself through a style at once precise, chiselled and generous. The nose opens onto ripe citrus, white flowers, fresh apple and delicate brioche. The palate, ample and energetic, unfolds fine substance carried by delicate fizz and persistent chalky minerality. The whole offers a Champagne of great elegance, both generous and perfectly structured.
A Blanc de Blancs of character to accompany oysters, noble fish, scallop carpaccio or chicken in cream. Thanks to its structure and precision, it will also evolve with grace over several years in the cellar.
