Structured and spiced, with fine depth, from Domaine Henri Gouges, a historic reference in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 2021, Domaine Henri Gouges

The village of Nuits-Saint-Georges finds in 2021 a particularly classical expression under Domaine Henri Gouges, a historic reference of the appellation. This fresher, more linear vintage showcases the aromatic precision and structured backbone typical of the domaine, while offering a more accessible reading of the terroir.

The nose opens onto sour cherry, snappy raspberry and a subtle floral note, enriched by spicy notes and a light stony breath. On the palate, the wine shows straight, energetic character, driven by lively acidity that gives it relief and underscores fruit purity. The tannins, fine yet present, sketch a harmonious structure that promises good evolution. The Gouges style appears here in full faithfulness: authenticity, freshness, sincerity of terroir.

A well-balanced Nuits-Saint-Georges, already pleasant in its youth but capable of gaining complexity over 6 to 8 years, developing then elegant undertones of woodland, truffle and soft spices. Perfect with roasted poultry, pork fillet or herb-braised dishes.
