Floral and opulent, white peach, apricot and anise notes. Châteauneuf-du-Pape white of rare expression from Vieux Télégraphe.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau blanc 2023 Vieux Télégraphe

The white cuvée of La Crau 2023 expresses with brilliance the singular identity of the legendary plateau that defines Vieux Télégraphe's reputation. Composed primarily of Clairette and Bourboulenc, the estate's historic varieties, this wine embodies a classical, taut, and profoundly mineral vision of Châteauneuf white, far removed from the warm profiles of the south.

The nose opens onto fresh pear, refined citrus, and dried herbs, with an elegant stony dimension from the galets roulés of the terroir. The palate is straight and ample yet always held, driven by a structuring freshness that marks La Crau's signature. The 2023 vintage, particularly well-balanced, offers perfectly etched volume, a noble texture, and a salivating, nearly saline finish of great persistence.

A white made for ageing par excellence, built to evolve: already splendid in its youthful expression, it will gain aromatic complexity over 8 to 12 years, developing notes of dried flowers, light honey, and ripe white fruits, all while retaining that mineral backbone that distinguishes it.
