Bright white wine with notes of stone fruit and alpine flowers, carried by crystalline tension and a salivating finish. A precise, vibrant Crozes from higher altitude.
Crozes Hermitage blanc Cap Nord 2023 Domaine Combier

Cap Nord blanc is the freshest and most elegant white cuvée from Domaine Combier, made from Marsanne and Roussanne grown on the cooler, higher-altitude soils of northern Pont-de-l'Isère. Following the pioneering work of the Combier family, practising organic viticulture since the 1970s, this cuvée offers a precise and contemporary reading of white Crozes: aromatic purity, mineral tension, and sovereign balance.

The terroir of Cap Nord rests on pale clays mixed with pebbles and loess, yielding slower maturation and a more chiselled expression than the central zones of the appellation. Careful vinification favours the finest juices, with partial barrel ageing that remains discreet and integrated, preserving the natural freshness of the varieties.

The 2023 vintage shows a luminous, delicate and energetic wine. The nose opens onto white peach, ripe citrus, acacia flowers and fresh almond. The palate is taut and refined, driven by precise salinity and fluid texture, with a straight, refreshing finish that marks the signature of the northern terroir.

Approachable young for its brightness and digestibility, Cap Nord blanc 2023 can also age for 4 to 7 years, gaining volume and honeyed nuances. An ideal Rhône white for light gastronomy: gilt-head bream ceviche, grilled fish, roasted vegetables, creamed poultry or soft cheeses.
