Bright white with white fruit and alpine flowers, carried by crystalline tension and salivating finish. A precise and vibrant high-altitude Crozes.
Crozes Hermitage blanc Cap Nord 2023 Domaine Combier

Cap Nord blanc is the freshest and most linear of white cuvées from Domaine Combier, sourced from Marsanne and Roussanne grown on the cooler, higher elevations north of Pont-de-l'Isère. Following the pioneering work of the Combier family, committed to organic viticulture since the 1970s, this cuvée embodies a precise and contemporary reading of Crozes blanc, aromatic purity, mineral tension and assured balance.

The Cap Nord terroir rests on pale clays mixed with pebbles and loess, allowing slower maturation and a more sculpted expression than the central zones of the appellation. Winemaking is meticulous, favouring the finest juices and partial barrel ageing, restrained and integrated, to preserve the natural freshness of the varieties.

The 2023 vintage yields a luminous, delicate and energetic wine. The nose opens onto white peach, ripe citrus, acacia flowers and fresh almond. The palate is tense and refined, carried by precise salinity and fluid texture, with a straight and refreshing finish that marks the signature of the northern terroir.

Approachable young for its brightness and digestibility, Cap Nord blanc 2023 can also age 4 to 7 years, gaining volume and honeyed nuance. A Rhône white ideal for lighter gastronomy, ceviche, grilled fish, roasted vegetables, creamed poultry or soft cheese.
