A Vintage Porto of great depth from Quinta do Tedo, born from an outstanding year.
Porto Vintage 2015 Quinta do Tedo
In the heart of the Douro valley, Quinta do Tedo cultivates its vines on steep schist hillsides with privileged exposures. A family property recognised for the precision of its traditional lagares vinifications, it produces Portos uniting intensity, balance and ageing potential.
This Vintage 2015 is made from a single vintage declared for its exceptional quality. The grapes, harvested at perfect ripeness, give a wine that is concentrated, structured and built for bottle age. After a short period of ageing in tank or in large wooden vessels, the wine is bottled to continue its slow and complex evolution.
On the nose, great aromatic depth unfolds, mixing blackberry, blackcurrant and black plum with notes of violet, cocoa and fine spices. The palate is dense and powerful, structured by firm yet noble tannins, supported by a fine freshness that balances the richness of the fruit. The finish, long and intense, sustains the flavours of dark fruits and dark chocolate.
A Vintage Porto of great stature, ideal to decant and pair with an intense chocolate dessert or a blue cheese. It possesses remarkable ageing potential, evolving harmoniously for 15 to 25 years and beyond.
