The estate's signature cuvée. Superb elegance of fruit and silky texture.
Volnay Vieilles Vignes 2023 Domaine Didier Delagrange
At the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Didier Delagrange cultivates its Volnay parcels with rigour and precision. From old vines planted on argilo-calcareous soils, these selections offer naturally concentrated grapes, expressing all the finesse and depth characteristic of the appellation.
The 2023 vintage, balanced and luminous, showcases a Pinot Noir that is both greedy and structured. Careful vinification and ageing in cask, conducted with restraint, accompany the matter without masking the expression of the fruit or the delicacy of the terroir.
The colour is intense and brilliant ruby. The nose reveals refined aromas of morello cherry, ripe raspberry and small red fruits, enriched by floral notes of violet and a subtly spicy touch. On the palate, the attack is silky, carried by fine and elegant tannins. The balance between freshness, depth and velvety texture gives the wine fine harmony, with a persistent and delicately mineral finish.
Serve around 16°C after light aeration. It will pair perfectly with veal fillet, duck breast or refined cuisine with mushrooms. Its ageing potential extends over 10 to 15 years, evolving towards greater complexity and tertiary nuances.
