A tender and generous palate, expressing all the depth of this steep Roussanne parcel.
The 2024 vintage of Chignin-Bergeron Raipoumpou from vintner Adrien Berlioz confirms once again the talent and precision of this master of Savoyard terroir. Made from Roussanne, this white wine of Savoie seduces through its aromatic purity, ample texture and mineral tension of great exactness.
From the first nose, one discovers an expressive bouquet with notes of apricot, white flowers and light honey, supported by a fine touch of toasted almond. On the palate, the fruit is rich without heaviness, driven by an alpine freshness that lengthens the finish and underscores the saline dimension of the Chignin terroir.
The natural vinification conducted by Adrien Berlioz, with long ageing, respect for fruit and minimal intervention, gives here a vibrant, precise, deeply lively wine. Raipoumpou 2024 perfectly illustrates the new generation of Savoyard vignerons: demanding, sincere and attached to their soils.
Enjoy it now for its luminous generosity, or keep it a few years to watch its complexity unfold. It will pair wonderfully with roasted poultry, creamy mushroom risotto or a local pressed-curd cheese.
A great white wine of Savoie, at once expressive, balanced and full of energy, a true signature of Adrien Berlioz to discover at Les Clos Vivants.
