Cuvée Gallety Rouge 2022, Domaine Gallety
From the Côtes-du-Vivarais appellation, this wine embodies the domaine's commitment: clay-limestone soil mixed with safres, biodynamic viticulture, and a classical Syrah and Grenache blend made with restrained winemaking. Hand-harvesting, moderate maceration and thoughtful ageing create a wine that reveals both ripeness and finesse.
The 2022 vintage opens with a rich nose of dark fruits, blackberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by subtle peppery spice and a hint of garrigue evoking southern Ardèche terroir. On the palate, the wine is ample and fluid, the tannins polished, freshness affirms itself on the finish, and a mineral backbone brings tension and length. This wine marries elegance with density in an authentic style.
This red is approachable now for its generous fruit, but will deepen over 5 to 8 years.
