Whisky Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt
A tribute to the house's founder, Masataka Taketsuru, regarded as the father of Japanese whisky, the Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt embodies the art of controlled blending. Crafted from malts sourced primarily from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, it reflects the complementarity between power, finesse and elegance, the signatures of Nikka's style.
This Pure Malt showcases the aromatic richness of malt without the addition of grain whisky, offering a profile that is both structured and harmonious. The precise blending allows the balance of Yoichi's slightly peated and spicy character with the rounder, more fruity and floral dimension of Miyagikyo.
On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe yellow fruits, pear and stewed apple, accompanied by notes of vanilla, honey and soft spices, with a subtle smoky touch in the background. The palate is supple and elegant, marked by flavours of ripe fruits, light caramel and delicate oak. The whole is well-balanced, with a silky texture and fine harmony. The finish, persistent, leaves a subtly spiced and lightly peated impression.
A refined and approachable whisky, ideal for discovering the Japanese style, to be savoured neat or with a touch of water to reveal its full aromatic finesse.
