Fresh and delicate, with notes of strawberry, flowers and citrus. A garrigue-tinged rosé from Château Mourgues du Grès, elegant and a pleasure to drink.
Fleur d'Églantine Rosé 2025, Château Mourgues du Grès
Crafted in the heart of Costières de Nîmes, Fleur d'Églantine is one of the signature rosés from Château Mourgues du Grès. The organically farmed domaine sits on soils of rolled pebbles and red clay, swept by maritime influences from the nearby Mediterranean. This natural freshness brings balance and tension to the wines.
A typical southern blend, principally Grenache with Syrah and Cinsault according to the vintage, the 2025 stands out for its precision and aromatic brightness. The colour is pale and luminous. The nose reveals notes of fresh red fruit, white peach and citrus, lifted by a delicate floral touch evoking wild rose. On the palate, the attack is lively and crisp, driven by fine energy. The wine remains balanced and light, with a fresh, slightly saline finish that extends the sensation of purity.
Vinified at low temperature to preserve fruit freshness, Fleur d'Églantine Rosé 2025 embodies a straight and elegant style, far from heavy or jammy rosés. It distinguishes itself through finesse and its ability to accompany the table.
Best enjoyed now for its vibrancy and bright fruit.
Food pairings: Mediterranean cuisine, grilled dishes, summer salads, grilled fish, light Asian cooking. Serve at 8–10°C.
