A Secret Speyside signed Glendullan, aged 16 years in first-fill oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 57.1%, revealing a rich and intense profile blending plum, caramel and walnut in all the fruited elegance of Speyside.
This Secret Speyside (GL) aged 16 years in first-fill oloroso sherry casks before bottling at 57.10% alc. Behind this enigmatic name lies the Glendullan distillery, which with this version offers a rich and spiced profile with aromas of plum, caramel and walnut.
The 100 Proof range refers to the British system of measuring alcohol content, corresponding to the famous "Navy Strength". At 57.1% alc., this range showcases various distilleries, which express themselves with great intensity while retaining their distinctive aromatic richness characteristic of Signatory Vintage's expertise in ageing. A range to explore further in tasting and rediscover the ageing work of this independent bottler. The Glendullan distillery was founded in 1897 in Dufftown, at the heart of Speyside, by William Williams & Sons. The last of seven distilleries in the town to be established in the Victorian era, it distinguishes itself through a fruited and elegant style. Today owned by Diageo, it is chiefly known for its role in blends, but its single malts, rare in official bottling, reveal fine complexity, particularly in sherry ageing.
