The Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine 2023 from Héritiers du Comte Lafon expresses the richness of Mâconnais terroir with understated elegance. Made from biodynamically farmed vines, this Burgundy Chardonnay seduces through its freshness, minerality and aromatic precision.
This white wine distinguishes itself with a floral and fruity nose, blending white flowers, pear, apple and delicate citrus. On the palate, the texture is supple, balanced by mineral tension and fine acidity. The long, saline finish reveals a subtle buttery note that adds elegance and depth.
Located in Milly-Lamartine, the historic heart of Burgundy's vineyards, the vineyard benefits from an argilo-calcareous terroir worked with respect for the soil. Ageing in large wooden vessels and demi-muids preserves the purity of the fruit whilst adding complexity and balance.
Ready to drink now with shellfish, sole meunière, scallop carpaccio, or creamed poultry, this wine also ages gracefully for several years, gaining complexity and roundness.
