Ladoix Premier Cru from Domaine d'Ardhuy, ample and charming, unfolding ripe yellow fruits, fine spices and beautiful mineral tension, finishing long and flavourful.
Ladoix 1er cru Basses Mourottes 2023 Domaine d'Ardhuy
This Ladoix Premier Cru Basses Mourottes 2023 perfectly captures the precise and demanding approach of Domaine d'Ardhuy, one of the pillars of the northern Côte de Beaune. From parcels ideally situated at the foot of the Corton hillside, this terroir blends clay-limestone soils with limestone scree, naturally producing Pinot Noir that is structured, fresh and deeply rooted in its origin.
The 2023 vintage brings remarkably balanced ripeness here. The nose opens onto bright red fruits, a delicate floral thread and finely spiced notes. On the palate, the texture is ample yet refined, with mineral energy that carries the wine through to a long, salivating finish. The tannins, ripe yet tight, suggest serious ageing potential while ensuring the wine is already harmonious to drink.
Wine style: precise, direct, elegant, with very pure Pinot Noir expression and the characteristic mineral signature of Ladoix.
Food pairing and ageing: ideal with roasted poultry, guinea fowl, creamy white meats or forest game. Ageing potential: 8 to 12 years.
