White flowers, citrus and profound minerality. A rare and complex white from Nuits, the work of Domaine Alain Michelot.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Blanc 1er Cru La Perrière Noblot 2022 Domaine Alain Michelot

An emblematic figure of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Alain Michelot has cultivated, for several generations, a patrimony of great terroirs with rigour and consistency. Committed to careful viticulture and precise vinifications, the Michelot family produces balanced wines, where fruit maturity always allies with fine Burgundian tension.

The 1er Cru La Perrière Noblot is one of the rare climates of Nuits-Saint-Georges given over to Chardonnay. Established on very stony calcareous soils, it offers ideal conditions for producing structured, mineral and profound whites. The 2022 vintage, generous and luminous, permitted achieving optimal maturity while retaining freshness and definition.

Fermentation and ageing in oak, conducted with mastery, bring amplitude and complexity without obscuring the expression of terroir. The wood, finely integrated, supports the structure and extends persistence.

On the nose, ripe pear, white fruits, citrus zest and delicate flowers emerge, enhanced by a lightly toasted note and a stony nuance. The palate is ample and generous on the attack, then gains in tension, carried by a straight and precise mineral frame. The finish, long and saline, underscores the nobility of this premier cru.

A great white from Nuits-Saint-Georges, ideal with crustaceans, roasted turbot, cream-based poultry or aged cheese. Accessible today after decanting, it holds a drinking window of 3 to 5 years.
