Description
Pernand-Vergelesses Les Cloux 2024 – Domaine Rollin
The Pernand-Vergelesses Les Cloux 2024 from Domaine Rollin comes from a "climat" located on the heights of the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, at the foot of the Corton hill. This well-drained clay-limestone terroir, benefiting from excellent exposure, gives birth to Chardonnay that is simultaneously elegant, precise, and marked by a beautiful saline freshness.
Domaine Rollin, a family estate for several generations, cultivates its vines with great attention to preserve the identity of each plot. Yields are controlled, and vineyard work is environmentally respectful. In the cellar, vinification remains traditional with gentle pressing and oak barrel aging that supports the wine without masking the mineral expression.
The 2024 vintage reveals a delicate and expressive nose with notes of white flowers, fresh lemon, and crunchy apple, complemented by subtle nuances of hazelnut and a chalky hint. The palate is fine and harmonious, driven by pure fruit, a silky texture, and a beautiful tension that brings precision and freshness. The finish, persistent and balanced, highlights the refined character of the Chardonnay from this terroir.
A precise and charming white Pernand-Vergelesses, ideal for accompanying grilled fish, seafood, poultry in cream sauce, or goat cheeses. It can be enjoyed in its youth for its vibrancy, while gaining complexity after a few years of cellaring.
