Delicate Pinot Noir from Hautes Côtes de Nuits by Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer. Red fruits, freshness, and fine tannins.
The 2023 Cuvée Rosalie from Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer is an expressive red Hautes Côtes de Nuits, made from Pinot Noir grown on the higher slopes around Magny-lès-Villers, between Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. On these cooler, clay-limestone soils, the variety finds ideal conditions to develop aromatic finesse, freshness, and balance.
Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer is committed to thoughtful viticulture that respects the terroir, maintaining controlled yields and precise vineyard work to achieve perfectly ripe grapes. In the cellar, vinification is handled gently to preserve the purity of the fruit and the natural delicacy of Pinot Noir, followed by measured ageing that brings structure and complexity.
The 2023 vintage reveals a charming wine with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and redcurrant, accompanied by subtle floral notes and a hint of soft spice. On the palate, the attack is supple and appealing, driven by fine tannins and a silky texture that makes the wine particularly pleasurable from its youth.
The finish is fresh and elegant, extending the red fruit flavours with considerable finesse. An accessible and refined Pinot Noir, ideal alongside roast poultry, white meat, fine charcuterie, or bistro fare. Enjoy it now for its bright fruit, though it will evolve harmoniously over the coming years.
