Mineral and fresh, perfect for an aperitif or shellfish. A pure expression of Chardonnay from the Chablis region by Domaine Dominique Gruhier.
Domaine Dominique Gruhier, located in Épineuil in northern Burgundy, has established itself as one of the major craftsmen of the Tonnerrois wine renaissance. Conducted in organic and biodynamic agriculture, the vineyard benefits from precise soil work and constant attention to vine vitality. On these northern terroirs marked by Kimmeridgian limestone and marl, the domaine seeks above all purity of expression and sincerity of fruit.
The Petit Chablis 2023 comes from parcels planted on limestone plateaux that favour the freshness and natural tension of Chardonnay. Vinification is minimalist, favouring clean fermentations and measured ageing to preserve the aromatic brilliance and directness of the wine.
The nose offers frank notes of citrus, fresh lemon and green apple, accompanied by a delicate floral touch and chalky nuance. On the palate, the attack is lively and precise, supported by beautiful acidity and saline minerality that brings energy and length. The whole shows itself luminous, direct and refreshing, faithful to the identity of the finest Petit Chablis.
Ideal as an aperitif, with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish or fresh goat cheese. To be enjoyed in its youth for its brilliance and tension.
