Bourgogne Aligoté 2024, Château de Chamilly
From vines surrounding the château, on the clay-limestone terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise, this Bourgogne Aligoté 2024 expresses the natural freshness and tension of the variety. Cultivated with care by the Desfontaine family, the vineyard is managed sustainably, with particular attention to ripeness and aromatic precision.
The 2024 vintage offers a luminous, sharply etched profile. The nose opens onto fresh citrus, green apple and white flowers, with a lightly saline edge. On the palate, the attack is lively, driven by frank acidity yet perfectly controlled. The structure remains clean, mineral, with a crisp and refreshing finish.
Vinified in tank to preserve the brightness of the fruit and purity of the variety, this Aligoté stands out for its balance and drinkability. It is best enjoyed now for its vivacity, though it will gain complexity over two to three years.
Suggested pairings: oysters, seafood, grilled fish, fresh goat cheese or casual aperitif fare.
Serving temperature: 10–12°C.
