Domaine de la Folie's Aligoté from the monopole Clos La Folie, vif and citrusy with remarkable acidity and freshness. Pure, nervous and digestible.
Bourgogne Aligoté Monopole Clos La Folie 2024 Domaine de la Folie

At the heart of Rully, Domaine de la Folie tends a historic vineyard around its château, with constant attention to precision in the vineyard and the expression of the chalky terroirs of Côte Chalonnaise. Measured and careful vinifications aim to preserve the purity of fruit and the natural tension of Burgundian grape varieties.

Clos La Folie, the domaine's monopole, offers Aligoté a choice terroir of clay-limestone soils well-drained to favour freshness and minerality. The 2024 vintage, marked by progressive and balanced maturation, gives rise to a straightforward, luminous and particularly expressive wine.

Vinification is conducted with delicacy to preserve the varietal brightness. Partial ageing in barrel adds relief and complexity without masking the natural liveliness of the grape.

On the nose, aromas of fresh lemon, green apple and white flowers emerge, lifted by a subtle note of almond and a chalky hint. The palate is energetic and precise, sustained by lively acidity and fine mineral tension. The finish is clean and saline, extending the impression of freshness.

A characterful Bourgogne Aligoté, ideal as an aperitif, with oysters, seafood, fish tartare or fresh cheese. Drink now for its vivacity, with ageing potential of 3 to 5 years.
