A Chardonnay Premier Cru from Domaine de la Folie's monopole, structured and complex with white fruit, deep minerality and tension. Elegant and persistent.
Rully Blanc 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 2024 Domaine de la Folie

A historic Rully property, Domaine de la Folie has exploited for several generations a vineyard planted around its château, in the heart of Côte Chalonnaise. Vines are cultivated with rigour on clay-limestone soils, and vinifications proceed with precision to preserve the purity of Chardonnay and faithful expression of the climats.

The 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques, a domaine monopole, is one of Rully's emblematic terroirs. Situated on a well-exposed slope, it rests on calcareous soils that bring tension, minerality and depth. The 2024 vintage, marked by progressive maturation and beautiful natural freshness, yields a slender and precise wine.

Fermentation and barrel ageing proceed with measure to bring complexity and structure without dominating the fruit. The oak, perfectly integrated, supports the substance and extends the finish.

On the nose, white flowers, fresh pear and citrus notes open, lifted by a lightly buttery touch and a discreet toasted nuance. The palate is generous on the attack, then tightens around a precise mineral frame. The finish, long and saline, underscores the nobility of this premier cru.

A Rully blanc of great stature, ideal with crustaceans, noble fish, creamed poultry or aged cheese. Enjoy from today for its balance, with cellaring potential of 6 to 10 years.
