Dark berries, pepper and violet over a smoked and mineral base. Tense, precise, expressing the unique character of southern Ardèche volcanic terroirs.
La Syrare 2022 – Domaine Gallety
In the heart of southern Ardèche, La Syrare embodies the purest and most lithe expression of Syrah according to Domaine Gallety. On these clay-limestone hillsides interspersed with safre and stones, the vines sink deep roots and yield fruit of rare intensity. The Gallety family, pioneers of organic viticulture in the region, has pursued exemplary winemaking for over thirty years: precise soil work, controlled yields, hand harvesting and gentle vinifications that favour elegance and finesse.
The 2022 vintage reveals a radiant nose of violet, black raspberry and fresh blackberry, lifted by the peppery notes typical of Syrah from southern Ardèche. On the palate, the texture is supple yet profound, with juicy fruit, fine tannins and a fresh frame that carries the wine with energy. The finish is long and spiced, unveiling subtle minerality and a remarkable balance between solar ripeness and aromatic precision.
A luminous, vibrant and harmonious red, already expressive with considerable charm but capable of evolving over 5 to 7 years.
