From Domaine Henri Richard, a fresh and fruity Pinot Noir with notes of cherry and raspberry, supple palate and digestible elegance.
Sourced from parcels around Morey-Saint-Denis, the Côteaux Bourguignons "Corvée de l'Église" 2023 from Domaine Henri Richard perfectly captures the spirit of Burgundy's regional wines when crafted with rigour and attention to detail. This wine is made from Pinot Noir, grown in well-rooted vines on clay-limestone soils, tended in respect of natural balance.
The 2023 vintage, marked by fine ripeness and clear aromatic expression, delivers a wine both fruity and precise. Winemaking favours gentle extraction to preserve fruit brightness and textural finesse. Ageing, deliberately restrained, accompanies the wine without ever masking its identity.
The nose opens on frank notes of fresh cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, lifted by a floral touch and a hint of spice. On the palate, the attack is supple and juicy, driven by a fresh structure and fine tannins. The whole offers elegant balance, with a clean, digestible finish, typical of a pleasure-focused Pinot Noir but one with real substance.
A Côteaux Bourguignons of character, both accessible and serious, ideal to drink in its youth with cured meats, roast poultry or simple bistro fare, yet capable of evolving harmoniously over a few years of bottle age.
