Fine red fruits, spice and minerality typical of Marsannay. An elegant wine from Domaine Henri Richard, supple, fresh and very approachable.
The Marsannay En Larrey 2022 from Domaine Henri Richard comes from a historic climat on the commune of Marsannay-la-Côte, at the northern edge of the Côte de Nuits. This well-exposed terroir, composed of clay-limestone soils mixed with limestone scree, offers ideal conditions for Pinot Noir, allowing it to express a style that is at once fruit-driven, structured and precise.

Domaine Henri Richard carries on a Burgundian family tradition rooted in respect for terroir and sincere fruit expression. Work in the vineyard prioritises controlled yields and careful viticulture to obtain perfectly ripe grapes. In the cellar, vinification remains classic and restrained, with gentle extraction and oak ageing designed to preserve the wine's natural balance and the aromatic purity of Pinot Noir.

The 2022 Marsannay En Larrey reveals expressive aromas of black cherry, raspberry and redcurrant on the nose, accompanied by floral nuances and a light spicy note. The palate is supple and elegant, carried by juicy fruit, fine tannins and lovely freshness that underscores the precision of the terroir. The finish is balanced and persistent, revealing an agreeable mineral dimension.

A charming and well-made Marsannay that will pair beautifully with roasted meats, farmyard poultry or a fine selection of charcuterie. It can be enjoyed now for its bright fruit character, but will also develop complexity after a few years of cellaring.
