A bold French whisky, between candied fruit, spice and the finesse of sherry cask ageing.
Hexanobile Michel Couvreur
Established in Bouze-lès-Beaune, the Michel Couvreur house has forged a singular reputation in the world of whisky through its commitment to long ageing in sherry casks, deep within Burgundian caves carved into the rock. Faithful to the vision of its founder, the house selects distillates of great quality, ageing them with patience in a constant search for depth, complexity and authenticity.
Hexanobile embodies this artisanal philosophy. This whisky pays homage to French expertise through careful ageing and rigorous cask selection, showcasing a rich and nuanced expression using malts exclusively from hexagonal sources.
On the nose, generous aromas of dried fruits, plum, date and candied raisin emerge, accompanied by notes of cocoa, sweet spices and noble wood. The palate is ample and enveloping, marked by a silky texture and fine aromatic concentration. Flavours of ripe fruit, caramel and walnut intertwine with subtle oxidative nuances typical of great sherry cask maturations. The finish, long and warming, leaves a persistent impression of spice and dried fruits.
A whisky of character and depth, to be enjoyed neat, ideally in a tulip glass to appreciate its full aromatic complexity.
