A bold French whisky moving between preserved fruit, spices and the finesse of sherry oak. Michel Couvreur's thoughtful interpretation of malt whisky.
Whisky Hexanobile Michel Couvreur

Based at Bouze-lès-Beaune, the Michel Couvreur house has forged a singular reputation in the whisky world by privileging long ageing in sherry casks, deep within Burgundian cellars carved from rock. Faithful to the vision of its founder, the house selects distillates of great quality and ages them with patience, in a constant search for depth, complexity and authenticity.

Hexanobile embodies this artisanal philosophy. This whisky pays homage to French craftsmanship through careful ageing and rigorous cask selection, showcasing a rich and nuanced expression of French malts.

On the nose, generous aromas of dried fruit, plum, date and preserved raisin emerge, accompanied by notes of cocoa, sweet spices and noble wood. The palate is broad and enveloping, marked by silky texture and fine aromatic concentration. The flavours of ripe fruit, caramel and nuts intertwine with slightly oxidative nuances typical of great sherry cask ageing. The finish is long and warm, leaving a persistent impression of spice and dried fruit.

A whisky of character and depth, best enjoyed neat, ideally in a tulip glass to appreciate its full aromatic complexity.
