Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 2023 from Domaine Rollin comes from a family vineyard firmly rooted in this discreet yet remarkable village of the Côte de Beaune, nestled at the foot of the Corton hill. For several generations, the Rollin family has cultivated its parcels with precision and consistency, seeking to reveal all the finesse of Pernand-Vergelesses terroirs through wines that are both elegant, balanced and faithful to their origin.
The Pinot Noir vines flourish on the clay-limestone soils typical of the appellation, benefiting from ideal exposure that allows regular ripening of the grapes while preserving beautiful freshness. Work in the vineyard prioritises yield control and a respectful approach to the environment. In the cellar, vinifications remain classical and minimally interventionist, with gentle extractions and oak ageing aimed at preserving fruit purity and terroir expression.
The Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 2023 reveals a delicate nose of fresh cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, accompanied by subtle floral notes and a light spicy touch. The palate is fine and balanced, driven by crunchy fruit, supple tannins and a fresh framework that brings precision and elegance.
