Red fruits, sweet spices and floral notes. Elegant and supple Savigny signed by Rollin.
Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Grands Liards 2023 from Domaine Rollin is an elegant Pinot Noir from a terroir situated to the south of the appellation, on well-draining argilo-calcareous soils that favour the expression of pure and delicate fruit. The family domaine, established in Pernand-Vergelesses for several generations, cultivates its vines with great rigour, privileging controlled yields and precise vineyard work to preserve the natural balance of the grapes.
Vinification is conducted in a spirit respectful of the fruit and the vintage, with gentle extraction and measured ageing aimed at conserving all the aromatic finesse of Pinot Noir. The 2023 vintage reveals a wine of particular charm, carried by aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry and small red berries, lifted by subtle floral notes and a touch of fine spices.
On the palate, the attack is supple and generous, with fine and silky tannins that structure a delicate and well-balanced substance. The finish, fresh and persistent, prolongs the red fruit notes in a style that remains accessible yet always precise.
A refined and digestible Savigny-lès-Beaune, which will pair perfectly with roasted poultry, pork tenderloin, grilled white meats or traditional Burgundian cuisine. It can be enjoyed from its youth for its brightness of fruit, but will also gain in complexity after a few years of cellaring.
