White flowers, citrus and hazelnut over a mineral backbone. Precise and elegant Meursault from Domaine Roulot, fresh, taut and beautifully complex.
The Meursault Luchets 2023 from Domaine Roulot comes from a village climat of particular repute, situated on the upper part of Meursault's slope, above the grand premiers crus. This parcel benefits from very stony, well-draining soil that gives rise to linear, slender wines marked by strong mineral character.
At Domaine Roulot, an absolute reference point for the appellation, each terroir is vinified with extreme precision to reveal its own personality. Work in the vineyard is conducted with meticulous care to preserve the natural balance of the grapes, while vinification remains very hands-off. The ageing, long and measured, aims above all to conserve the purity of fruit and the characteristic tension of the domaine's wines.
Luchets stands out for its particularly refined and chiselled style. The nose typically reveals delicate aromas of citrus, fresh pear, white flowers and damp stone. On the palate, the wine seduces through its energy, precision and elegant texture, supported by lovely salinity and a long, luminous, mineral finish.
The 2023 vintage, sunny yet balanced, offers a luminous and harmonious Meursault here, combining fruit maturity with natural freshness. Already expressive in its youth, it will gain complexity after a few years of cellaring.
At table, this Meursault will pair beautifully with noble fish, scallops, roasted turbot, cream-based poultry dishes or aged Burgundian cheeses. Its finesse and tension will allow it to evolve elegantly for 8 to 12 years.
