Belargus, a benchmark name in Anjou Noir, reveals here a more accessible yet always precise expression of its slate terroirs, through meticulous parcel selection and biodynamic viticulture. This wine embodies the domaine's commitment to unveiling the full purity and verticality of Loire Chenin.
The 2023 vintage offers a particularly brilliant profile, with an expressive nose mingling white fruits, citrus, fresh flowers and a delicately honeyed note. The palate is linear and tense, driven by fine freshness and chiselled minerality, with pure, crisp fruit. The finish is clean and saline, bringing length and balance. This is a precise and elegant Anjou Blanc, ideal as an aperitif or with fish, shellfish and goat's cheese, with ageing potential of several years.
