Rhum Millonario XO
Originating from Peru, Rhum Millonario is crafted in the heart of a region blessed with a warm and stable climate, ideal for sugarcane cultivation and the ageing of spirits. Produced from high quality molasses, it is carefully distilled then aged using the solera method, fostering roundness and aromatic complexity.
The XO cuvée represents the most accomplished expression of the house, drawn from a blend of rums aged at length in oak casks that may have previously held bourbon or sherry. This extended ageing imparts depth, smoothness and richness.
On tasting, the nose reveals indulgent aromas of caramel, brown sugar, fig and date, accompanied by notes of vanilla, cocoa and gentle spices. The palate is generous and velvety, marked by flavours of toffee, candied fruits, dark chocolate and a lightly woody touch, perfectly integrated. The texture is unctuous, with a beautiful sweetness balanced by a fine thread of spice. The finish, long and warm, extends the indulgent and toasted nuances.
