A genuine expression of Givry with elegant fruit and silky texture, from Domaine Besson.
Givry Le Haut Colombier 2023 Domaine Besson

In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Besson draws out the character of Givry terroirs known for producing Pinot Noirs that are both approachable and precise. The Le Haut Colombier cuvée 2023 perfectly captures this identity, offering a sincere, fruity and balanced wine from argilo-calcareous soils that encourage finesse and freshness.

The nose expresses itself through appealing aromas of red cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, lifted by light notes of peony, soft spice and a subtly woody touch. The overall impression is charming, clean and immediately pleasant.

On the palate, the attack is supple and juicy, driven by crisp fruit and fine-grained tannins. The structure remains elegant, with a beautiful freshness that brings dynamism and balance. The finish, delicately spiced, prolongs the enjoyment with a natural drinkability, typical of well-crafted red Givry.

A convivial and precise wine, ideal with fine charcuterie, white meats, grilled dishes or Burgundian cheeses.

Ageing potential: 3 to 6 years, also enjoyable in its youth for its bright fruit.
