A clear expression of Givry with elegant red fruit and silky texture from Domaine Besson.
Givry Le Haut Colombier 2023 Domaine Besson

In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Besson showcases the terroirs of Givry, recognised for their ability to produce Pinot Noirs that are both approachable and precise. The cuvée Le Haut Colombier 2023 embodies this identity perfectly, offering a sincere, fruit-driven and balanced wine from clay-limestone soils that favour finesse and freshness.

The nose reveals appealing aromas of red cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, lifted by gentle notes of peony, soft spice and a subtle hint of oak. The overall impression is charming, clean and immediately welcoming.

On the palate, the attack is soft and juicy, carried by crisp fruit and fine tannins. The structure remains elegant, with good freshness that brings dynamism and balance. The delicately spiced finish extends the pleasure with lovely drinkability, typical of a well-crafted red Givry.

A convivial and precise wine, wonderful with fine charcuterie, white meats, grilled dishes or Burgundian cheeses.

Drinking window: 3 to 6 years, also rewarding in its youth for its fruit brightness.
