The Bourgueil Le Pied de la Butte 2024 from Domaine de la Butte is a charming and expressive Cabernet Franc, from vines at the foot of the hillside on deep clay and gravel soils. This cuvée pays tribute to the legacy of Jacky Blot (1948–2023), whose pursuit of precision and purity continues to inspire the domaine today.
The nose reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity, mingling ripe red fruits, blackcurrant, raspberry and a touch of gentle spice. On the palate, the wine seduces with its roundness and suppleness, underpinned by a balanced freshness and fine tannins that ensure a harmonious, juicy finish.
Le Pied de la Butte 2024 embodies the generous, approachable side of the domaine, while retaining the Loire signature: radiant fruit, a straight palate and great drinkability.
