The domaine's finest cuvée, an exceptional terroir beautifully expressed by two talented Burgundian winemakers.
Minervois Cazelles « La Ciaude » 2024 – Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot
Born on the limestone heights of Cazelles, « La Ciaude » is one of the emblematic cuvées of the Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot domaine, where Burgundian rigour meets the luminous power of Minervois. The vines plunge their roots into soil scattered with hard limestone, light clays and small stones, a naturally poor terroir that gives the grapes remarkable concentration and tension. The meticulous work of the duo, always oriented towards finesse and precision, elevates this brilliant raw material.
The 2024 vintage proves particularly expressive: a deep nose of blackcurrant, wild blackberry and dark cherry, crossed by flashes of sweet spice and peppermint notes. On the palate, the wine unfolds a structure both ample and taut, carried by clean-edged tannins and mineral freshness that extends the finish. The balance between Mediterranean density and crystalline elegance marks a wine of considerable presence, one that marries generosity and precision.
A refined Minervois, vibrant and alive, that will blossom fully over 5 to 10 years while already offering superb harmony.
