A distinctive cuvée from Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot, where Burgundian rigour meets the luminous power of Minervois terroir.
Minervois Cazelles « La Ciaude » 2024 – Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot
Born on the chalky heights of Cazelles, « La Ciaude » is one of the signature cuvées from Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot, where Burgundian discipline encounters the radiant intensity of Minervois. The vines root into fractured hard limestone, light clays, and stone, a naturally poor terroir that concentrates and tightens the fruit. The meticulous work of this duo, always pursuing finesse and precision, elevates this vibrant raw material.
The 2024 vintage reveals itself with particular expression: a deep nose of blackcurrant, wild blackberry, and black cherry, crossed by threads of warm spice and white pepper. On the palate, the wine unfolds an amplitude that is both generous and taut, carried by sculpted tannins and a mineral freshness that extends the finish. The balance between Mediterranean density and crystalline elegance marks a wine of considerable stature, marrying richness with precision.
A refined Minervois, vibrant and alive, that will develop beautifully over 5 to 10 years while already offering considerable harmony.
