The mastery of Nicolas Méo from Vosne-Romanée, transposed onto the terroirs of Willamette Valley.
Oregon Willamette Valley 2023 Domaine Méo-Camuzet
Born from the transatlantic collaboration initiated by Jean-Nicolas Méo, this cuvée embodies the meeting between Burgundian elegance and the energy of Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs. The 2023 vintage, fresh and long, perfectly showcases this approach, a chiselled fruit, gentle extraction, and a very pure reading of Oregon's volcanic and alluvial terroirs.
The nose evokes fresh cherry, wild strawberry, and a hint of bramble, enhanced by floral nuances and a light smoky note. The palate is straight and lean, carried by dynamic acidity that stretches the wine without harshness. The tannins, very fine, bear the Méo-Camuzet signature, precision, measure, and a constant search for balance. The finish, vibrant and lightly spiced, confirms the ageing potential while offering immediate pleasure.
A Pinot Noir with harmonious and digestible style, ideal for roasted poultry, vegetable cuisine, or oily fish. To be enjoyed young for its brightness or kept 5 to 7 years for a more complex expression.
