An extraordinary style that endures vintage after vintage, from Jacky Blot's legendary domaine.
From the heart of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation, Triple Zéro is the signature cuvée of Domaine de la Taille aux Loups, founded by Jacky Blot, a pivotal figure in the renaissance of the Loire's great Chenins. A visionary and demanding winemaker, Blot spent his career proving the ageing potential, precision, and depth of Montlouis wines, crafted with resolute artisanal and parcel-by-parcel rigour.
Triple Zéro takes its name from radical winemaking philosophy: zero chaptalisation, zero cultured yeast, zero dosage. Crafted entirely from Chenin Blanc grown on old vines in the clay-limestone soils of the appellation, with meticulous attention to optimal ripeness, the wine is made by traditional method with long, natural fermentations and aged sur lattes without tirage liqueur or dosage.
The wine speaks of purity. The bubble is fine and elegant, carried by taut mineral tension. The nose opens to fresh apple, pear, zesty citrus and chalk, with a subtle hint of brioche from the ageing. On the palate, the balance is striking: dry, taut, vibrant, with saline energy and a long, precise, refreshing finish.
Triple Zéro is a wine for the table, ideal as an aperitif for lovers of dry, precise bubbles, but equally at home with oysters, crustaceans, raw fish, or Loire goat cheese. Drink it now for its freshness and tension, but it will gain complexity with a few years of bottle age.
