Superb balance around well-ripened white fruits, with mineral tension and floral delicacy.
Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Blanc 2023 Domaine Didier Delagrange

Based in Volnay, Domaine Didier Delagrange also cultivates parcels situated on the heights of the Côte de Beaune, where altitude brings freshness and tension to Chardonnay. The argilo-chalky soils of the Hautes-Côtes, combined with a more ventilated climate, favour gradual ripening and preserve the natural balance of the grapes.

The 2023 vintage, luminous and harmonious, brings forward a pure and precise expression of the variety. Careful vinification and measured ageing, partly on fine lees, add relief and complexity whilst preserving the characteristic freshness of altitude.

The colour is pale bright gold. The nose reveals frank aromas of pear, fresh apple and citrus, accompanied by delicate floral notes and a subtle buttery touch. On the palate, the attack is lively and well-balanced, driven by fine mineral tension. The texture is supple and harmonious, with a clean, fresh and slightly saline finish.

Serve around 10–11 °C. It will ideally accompany grilled fish, shellfish, cream-based poultry or matured goat's cheese. Enjoy over the next 4 to 7 years to fully appreciate its freshness and evolution.
