White flowers, citrus and fresh minerality. A precise and digestible Hautes Côtes blanc from Domaine Didier Delagrange, fresh and supple.
Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc 2023 Domaine Didier Delagrange

Based in Volnay, Domaine Didier Delagrange also farms parcels on the heights of the Côte de Beaune, where altitude brings freshness and tension to the Chardonnay. The clay-limestone soils of the Hautes Côtes, combined with a windier climate, encourage slow ripening and preserve the natural balance of the fruit.

The 2023 vintage, bright and harmonious, offers a pure and precise expression of the variety. Careful winemaking and measured ageing, partly on fine lees, add structure and complexity while retaining the characteristic freshness of the altitude.

The robe is pale gold and brilliant. The nose reveals frank aromas of pear, crisp apple and citrus, accompanied by delicate floral notes and a subtle buttery hint. On the palate, the attack is lively and balanced, driven by fine mineral tension. The texture is supple and harmonious, with a clean, fresh and lightly saline finish.

Serve around 10–11°C. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish, creamed poultry or aged goat cheese. Best enjoyed over the next 4 to 7 years to appreciate its freshness and evolution.
