Brut Nature rosé Champagne with no added sugar after fermentation. Preserved red fruits, brioche and chalky minerality, deep and vinous with considerable complexity.
Champagne La Lutetienne Rosé 2005 Brut Nature, Maison Tarlant
Maison Tarlant, rooted in Œuilly in the Vallée de la Marne since 1687, is a family champagne house committed to expressing the purity of its terroirs and the authenticity of its fruit. Faithful to rigorous viticulture and precise winemaking, Tarlant produces champagnes without artifice, revealing the natural tension, minerality and character of Champagne's soils.
The cuvée La Lutetienne Rosé 2005 Brut Nature embodies the fullest expression of this philosophy. From a sunny, ripe vintage, this Champagne rosé is made without any sugar addition after the secondary fermentation (Brut Nature dosage). It rests on a carefully selected blend of the three traditional Champagne varieties, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, enriched by a proportion of Pinot Noir red wine that gives it a deep, delicate natural rosé colour. The grapes come from various parcels in the Vallée de la Marne, on chalky and clay-limestone soils, bringing tension, structure and finesse.
On opening, this Champagne stands out for its intense rosé colour and fine, vibrant effervescence. The nose reveals a complex aromatic palette where ripe red fruits mingle with preserved citrus, delicate brioche notes, soft spices and a subtle mineral thread revealing the wine's age. On the palate, the attack is precise and clean, driven by dynamic acidity, elegant substance and a beautiful density of aromas that balance freshness, depth and elegance. The finish, long and saline, extends the tasting with remarkable intensity.
This long-keeping rosé Champagne already shows fascination on the palate today, revealing fine aromatic maturity while retaining vibrant energy. It belongs equally in a gastronomic dimension, with remarkable pairings alongside noble fish sashimi, shellfish with fine sauces, roasted poultry with red fruits or fresh fruit desserts.
Champagne La Lutetienne Rosé 2005 Brut Nature is an exceptional cuvée, deeply expressive of its vintage and Maison Tarlant's style, purity, precision and balance, offering a unique reading of Champagne terroir after long development in bottle.
