A fine expression of dark fruits and noble spice, with structure and elegance that reflect the character of Aloxe-Corton.
Aloxe-Corton Les Boutières 2023 Domaine Isabelle Doudet
Based in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Domaine Isabelle Doudet crafts precise and elegant wines, with particular attention paid to parcelle work and the accuracy of ripeness. Vinifications are conducted gently to preserve the purity of Pinot Noir, and measured ageing accompanies the wine without masking the expression of the terroir.
The Les Boutières parcel, located on the Aloxe-Corton hillside, rests on clay-limestone soils rich in stony elements, typical of the sector. This terroir imparts structure, depth and a lovely mineral framework to the wine. The 2023 vintage, sunny and well-balanced, achieved ripe maturity while retaining freshness and energy.
Vinification favours delicate extractions to preserve finesse and aromatic precision. Ageing in barrels, finely integrated, supports structure and brings complexity without dominating the fruit.
On the palate, the nose opens onto aromas of dark cherry, ripe raspberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by floral notes and a subtle spicy touch. The mouth is ample and structured, carried by fine but present tannins, balanced by lovely tension. The finish, persistent and elegant, reveals the assertive character of Aloxe-Corton.
A racy and structured wine, ideal with a cut of beef, duck breast or feathered game. Accessible after aeration, it will age harmoniously over 8 to 12 years.
