Belargus. Treilles Monopole 2019, a grand Chenin from Anjou, sole proprietor vineyard. Mineral, taut, with structuring acidity and saline finish.
Anjou Treilles Monopole 2019 – Belargus
The domaine's emblematic cuvée, Treilles Monopole 2019 embodies all the rigour and precision of Belargus, a reference among the great Chenins of the Loire. From a rare and confidential monopole terroir, this wine reveals a pure and profound expression of white Anjou at its finest.
The vines, managed under organic farming with meticulous parcel-by-parcel attention, rest on schist soils that confer tension, energy and considerable complexity. The winemaking, executed with great precision, favours natural fermentations and extended ageing, allowing the Chenin to develop its full dimension.
The nose is intense and finely carved, blending ripe white fruits, candied citrus, white flowers and a pronounced mineral frame. On the palate, the substance is broad and vibrant, driven by structuring acidity and remarkable depth. The texture, both dense and crystalline, extends toward a long, saline finish of great persistence.
A great white wine of the Loire, at once powerful and elegant, built for cellaring. Ideal with noble fish, shellfish, poultry in sauce or more ambitious gastronomic pairings. To be enjoyed today after aeration or kept for many years to reveal its full complexity.
