Presented by Distillerie Le Secret de l'Herbier, founded by Cyril Guyon in Vaux Saules, Burgundy, this vodka is crafted from organic wheat grain spirit, without added sugar or flavourings, macerated with blackcurrant buds, citrus fruits and a hint of spice following the house's signature recipe. Bottled at 43% ABV. Zeste de Cassis remains the most emblematic expression of the distillery's vodka range, distinguished by a gold medal and the trophy for best French vodka, embodying the artisanal expertise dedicated entirely to the terroir of Côte d'Or.
Ageing and provenance
Made from organic wheat grain spirit without any added sugar or flavourings, this spirit is macerated and distilled in Burgundy according to Distillerie Le Secret de l'Herbier's signature recipe, marked by the intense, fruity freshness of blackcurrant buds. The character of Côte d'Or's black blackcurrant expresses itself in all its forms, from bud to tender wood, offering an aromatic journey true to the terroir surrounding the distillery. Based in Vaux Saules, the distillery favours wild harvesting and local partnerships, delivering a 100% natural vodka with a soft, round and subtle character, resulting from double distillation in a column still.

On the nose, fresh woody and citric notes assert themselves immediately, followed by blackcurrant bud, tender blackcurrant wood and a touch of Sichuan pepper. Beneath these aromatic layers, the intense freshness of Burgundy's black blackcurrant expresses itself generously, carried by a subtle spiced note. On the palate, the aromas are very expressive, with the sweet and fruity character of blackcurrant, in a suave and harmonious whole despite the complete absence of added sugar. The finish is zesty, smooth and vegetal, marked by notes of verbena and blackcurrant leaves of remarkable freshness.
