The 2024 vintage of Savoie Persan Octavie signed by Adrien Berlioz reveals all the nobility of this long-overlooked native cépage. Sourced from the steep hillsides of Chignin, this red wine of Savoie seduces through its purity, finesse and remarkable energy.
The nose opens onto aromas of fresh red fruits, sour cherry and wild raspberry, lifted by a hint of sweet spice and violet. On the palate, the texture is silky, soaring, driven by a fine tannin structure and vivifying acidity that brings much relief and lift. The finish, delicately peppery, marks a wine at once refined and vibrant.
Vinified naturally by Adrien Berlioz, without artifice or embellishment, Octavie 2024 expresses with sincerity the personality of Persan, a cépage of altitude and character. This is a terroir wine, precise and digestible, where elegance dominates power.
Served slightly chilled, it will pair ideally with farmyard poultry, grilled lamb or a board of mountain charcuterie. A great Savoyard red, both original and deeply authentic, available at Les Clos Vivants for lovers of discovery and pure emotion.
