The Côtes du Jura Chardonnay de la Vallée 2023 from Domaine Courbet is a cuvée representative of the precise and authentic style of Domaine Courbet, located in Nevy-sur-Seille at the heart of the Seille valley. This wine illuminates the pure expression of Jura Chardonnay, sourced from carefully selected parcels on the marno-calcareous terroirs of the valley.
Made exclusively from Chardonnay, this wine is vinified and aged under a topping régime to preserve the freshness, tension and aromatic identity of the grape. Domaine Courbet's work favours a respectful approach to the fruit and terroir, allowing the wine to express with accuracy the balance between fruit, minerality and structure.
The nose opens to aromas of white fruits, fresh apple, pear and citrus, accompanied by subtle floral and mineral notes. The palate is straight and elegant, driven by lovely vivacity, fine substance and a clean finish, slightly saline, which underlines the precision of the wine.
This Côtes du Jura Chardonnay de la Vallée 2023 is enjoyed equally as an aperitif or at table. It pairs beautifully with fish, shellfish, young Jura cheeses or refined, simple cooking.
